• Sydney Opera House has recently launched a German Speaking option for their Essential Tour.
• The tours are running on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 3:30pm.

• Sydney Attractions is offering a new combination pass for their Sydney attractions, called: Explore4 Pass.
• The Explore4 Pass includes single entry to Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife World, Sydney Tower + Oztrek and Oceanworld Manly, and is valid for 3 months.

• The dates for Grand Prix 2011 have been announced. The official dates are Thursday 24^th March 2011 until Sunday 27^th March 2011.

President’s Cup

• Melbourne will host the 9th Presidents Cup, November 14-20, 2011. Melbourne becomes the first city outside of the United States to host the prestigious match-play competition more than once, as the 1998 event was held at Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Many hotels will offer special event rates and apply surcharges.

Changes & Refurbishment

New South Wales

Sydney Tower

• Renovations are at the Sydney Tower and the Pitt St Mall precinct, and as part of this construction work, there will be some changes regarding OzTrek at Sydney Tower.
• From Saturday 31 July 2010 until Monday 23 August 2010 the OzTrek will be closed.
• The Sydney Tower Observation Deck and Skywalk will be operating as normal during this period.

Sydney Harbour Marriott 

• Sydney Harbour Marriott is undergoing refurbishment until the end of December.
• They will have a buffer floor between the guest floors and the floors where work will be undertaken to further ensure that there is no noise disruptions.  The renovation will be on the soft furnishings: new carpet, new furniture, and new window dressings.

Northern Territory

Novotel Darwin

• The apartment development in the adjacent block to the hotel Novotel Darwin, as excavation work and construction.
• Site will be fully fenced and all vehicle access will be away from the hotel boundary.
• Expected date of completion will be in June 2011.

Queensland

Mercure Cairns Harbourside

• Mercure Cairns Harbourside has completed its soft refurbishment program. The rooms have been refreshed with new carpet, painting, and the new flat-screen televisions.

Western Australia

Rottnest Express

• Rottnest Express has advised that Rottnest Island Authority has increased its admission fee for adult and children 4 - 12, as of Monday the 2^nd August.
• Rates have been amended to reflect this increase.

Southern Australia

Southern Ocean Lodge

• Effective immediately the air strip at Vivonne Bay is closed for maintenance and will re-open in October 2010. Their regular service provides, Air South, will not recommence operation to Vivonne Bay when the strip reopens. Kingscote prices for Air South remain valid and all existing bookings to Vivonne Bay will be rescheduled to Kingscote.
