Earthquake New Zealand – Update
Posted on November 14, 2016 by APTC in APTC New Zealand

Dear partner and colleagues,

New Zealand has been rattled by a series of strong earthquakes, the largest a 7.5 magnitude in the South Island, sparking a number of aftershocks.

Warnings over tsunamis have been downgraded, and people evacuated from many areas have been allowed to return to their homes. Everyone should stay off the beaches and away from waterways. People are encouraged to keep themselves informed and follow the advice of their local civil defence groups as the situation develops around the country.

The APTC New Zealand team members are all safe and we are currently taking care of clients travelling in the country.

Please be advised that phone lines should be only used for emergencies as we are experiencing power outage and phone line interruptions.

We do have access to our emails so if you have any queries please send this trough and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We will keep you informed and should the situation change, an update will be sent.

Kind regards,

Your APTC New Zealand Team
