Flooding in Wellington city and region – Update
Posted on November 16, 2016 by APTC in APTC New Zealand

Dear partners and colleagues,

Road update for Wellington region:
* Clean-up work has finished on State Highway 1, at the northern end of Coast Road, and the stop/go restriction in the area has been lifted.

* State Highway 2, just north of the Ngauranga interchange, is still down to one lane. This is due to the temporary diversion of the Hutt on-ramp and has led to delays during peak times.

For the status of this road and other local roads such as Paekakariki Hill Road, please check the Porirua City Council website

Trains and busses in Wellington region:
* Trains and busses are running again but delays to be expected.

Please note that Wellington will face another storm on Thursday and that delays can be expected due to weather conditions and that at some places where work to clean up slips is still going on.
