SHERATON FIJI RESORT CONFIRMS REFURBISHMENT
Below is an excerpt from their press release by Neeraj Chadha, the Multi Property Vice President Fiji & Samoa, Marriott International and General Manager Westin and Sheraton Resorts, Fiji Complex.
“Marriott International Fiji is delighted to announce the planned refurbishment of Sheraton Fiji Resort starting from 20 January 2020.
Part of a multi-million dollar overall transformation program, the Sheraton Fiji Resort will close its doors from 20 January and will reopen in July 2020.
The Sheraton Fiji Resort was established 30 years ago and is one of many Sheraton Resorts globally to undergo a transformation to align with our focus as The World’s Gathering Place.
We are grateful for the long term support from our loyal guests and are delighted to share some pictures of the completed prototype guest room and bathroom plus artist renderings of what can be expected for the resorts public areas.
When the refurbishment of Sheraton Fiji Resort is underway, we confirm that our sister resorts – the adjoining Sheraton Denarau Villas and The Westin Denarau will continue to operate as per usual as these resorts are totally independent to the Sheraton Fiji Resort and please be aware that guests staying at any of our Denarau properties can enjoy the newly upgraded Food and Beverage offerings at The Westin and Sheraton Villas along with our international golf course and club house with no disruptions.
For all existing bookings of Sheraton Fiji Resort, we will ensure accommodation of the same room type is automatically held at our sister Westin Resort and will work with all bookers to address any queries.
As we look forward to Sheraton Fiji’s transformation, our 4 additional leading resorts in Fiji will continue to welcome guests. Sheraton Denarau Villas, The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki Island and our newest addition, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay on the Coral Coast offer 771 bedrooms, 16 restaurants and bars, 7 conference venues and a host of recreation facilities including the 18 hole Denarau Golf and Racquet Club.
To our frequent and new visitors, our Marriott Bonvoy and Club Marriott members, we look forward to continuing to welcome you to our spectacular Fiji resorts and invite you on this exciting journey as the iconic Sheraton Fiji Resort transforms.
Thank you in advance for your support of our five Marriott International resorts in Fiji.”
