TAHITI IA ORA BEACH RESORT – Managed by Sofitel
The Tahiti Ia Ora Beach Resort – Managed by Sofitel is closed until further notice. The Resort’s reservations staff are going through their system for the information and possible relocation of all affected bookings.
Owned by Grey Investment Group since 2012, the hotel located on the West coast of the island, handed over the management of the hotel to AccorHotels, on October 15, 2018.
AccorHotels and Grey Investment Group have forged a long-term relationship through sale and manage-back agreements. AccorHotels sold off its French Polynesian resort portfolio to the Grey Investment Group in December 2015, yet continued to manage-back the resorts.
Tahiti Ia Ora Beach Resort managed by Sofitel is the fourth hotel to be managed by Accor Hotels for the Grey Investment Group in French Polynesia, joining Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort, Sofitel Bora Bora Marara Beach Resort and Sofitel Bora Bora Private Island.
French Polynesia Opens Its Borders
French Polynesia has confirmed conditions of entry and stay in the country applicable to all travellers arriving by air.
Timeline is as follows:
• Starting from July 15th, 2020:
o Quarantine measures will be lifted and French Polynesia’s borders will re-open to international tourism from all countries. All travelers will be subject to the following mandatory conditions:
Prior to boarding:
*Proof of a negative Covid-19 test carried out within three days prior to their international air departure;
*Present the receipt of the health registration on the Etis.pf platform (Electronic Travel Information System);
During the stay:
*Self-test 4 days after arrival in The Islands of Tahiti.

This information is available on Tahiti Tourisme’s website and is updated accordingly to the epidemiological evolution of the virus.
Hotels and resorts on Tahiti and her Islands have issued an advice for all their future guests, that they will no longer be providing snorkelling equipment. Guests must bring their own. This is in keeping with restrictions in place to avoid the contraction and spread of the coronavirus.
